La Grava Piste |
|
(Blue, 1.400 m long, 250 m drop)
The Grava is the most sheltered trail on the
Civetta's
southeasterly side. To reach it from Pian del Crep you must cross the Campo
Scuola and instead of turning to the Lendina Piste enter the small tunnel
under the Casot di Pecol T-bar lift. Coming out, go over a low small wall and an
"S"-shaped curve down an open slope. The main piste stretches to the
right all the way to he Casot skilift. To get to the Grava Piste you
must, instead , stick to your left and go down a sort of pathway to the Grava
T-bar lift. Atop the mountain make sure you don't enter by mistake
either the Valgranda or Laghetto trails. To enter the Grava you
should dismount about a hundred metres before reaching the peak then
turn right. the toughest part of the trail comes at its start . later, it
levels off to an even, gentle slope. A wide as any trail at zoldo, it
poses no diffiulty. rarely exposed to the sun, its layer of snow is nearly
always in perfect condition. at the finish you may, instead of taking the Grava
T-bar lift again, proceed across the slope down a connecting course to the casot
T-bar lift tfor Pian del crep. When in view of the Casot skilift you may turn
right into another course which passes under the T-bar lift across the Casot
Piste and, after a few hundred metres, reached the Lendina Piste, and from there
to Pecol or Palafavera.

Le Coste Piste |
|
(Red, 1.292 m long, 528 m drop)
Where it not for a short wall and at times treacherous
snow conditions, the "red" rating would seem far too high for this
trail. Le
Coste connects between the palafavera ski area and those of Alleghe and
Zoldo. To enter it you must go throught almost the entire Lendina Piste and
then, when you see Pecol , turn left for the two-seat chairlift to
Palafavera.
Once there, alleghe lies straight in front while the start of Le Coste is
on your right. Beginning with a gentle slope of a few hundred metres, the
trail grows increasingly steeper until the wall near its finish. the track
is exposed almost throughout to the sun, which makes maintenance difficult
at times , especially during snowless periods. At suh times you might encounter
some though bumps to handle in the steeper part of the trail. Past this
treacherous section, below the chairlift, you will have a chance to relax on
your skis gliding along a flat stretch all the way to the gondola lift boarding
station (while on your right is the chairlift boarding station).

Crep Piste
|
|

|
|
(Red, 841 m long, 160 m drop)
The Crep takes you from Pian del Crep to the piste of
Valgranda (near Pianaz) and Laghetto. At the top gondola lift station, pass the
rifugio and thenb keep to your left. essentially a connecting course, the Crep
is very large with many curves and varyng slopes, some quite damanding. Largely
exposed to th sun, it might be tracherous at times.

Campetto
|
|
Nursery slope |
|
(Nursery slope, 117m long. Lit up.)
Wide and with a most gentle incline and plenty of
sunlight, it is ideal for those who try on skis for the first time.
|
|
(204m long, 28 m drop)
This learner's area is at Pianaz. Immediately after passing the village you
will see (on your right) directions for the lift facilities. Continue down a
short unpaved road and you'll arrive at a large square, from where two
t-bar lifts depart. The shorter one practically spans an open meadow that is an
ideal space for taking one's first steps on skis.
