(Red, 2.824 m long,549 m drop)
The valgranda is an old trail where the
women's European Cup downhill races.
It is served by two successive T-bar lifts: the Palma, which departs from Pianaz
and climbs about one chilometre and a half to a wooded flat space where you walk
a few steps to take the other.the Valgranda, on your left.If you wish to go bach
to Pianaz you must ski down the trail on your right. Having reached the
peak of the Valgranda you face three alternative routes. Turn immediately right
and you enter the demanding Laghetto Piste. Or turn right again after having
crossed a short slope and enter the demanding Laghetto Piste. Or turn right
again after having crossed a short slope and enter the connecting course to the
other trails of Zoldo. Or turn, finally, left and enter the
Valgranda Piste. Its first part is a moderate slope, but the later section,
a couple hundred metres, is steeper and quite demanding, thought it is
fairly wide. Having passed it you arrive near the Valgrand T-bar lift (on left),
on a slope where you can take the trail to Pianaz (on right). You ski down the
long smooth trail all the way to the Palma T-bar lift boarding station.

(Black, 978 m long,263 m drop)
Served by the Valgranda T-bar lift, this is the most challenging trail at
Zoldo. Challenging not only because of it's steep incline, but mainly because it
is purposely left in its natural condition. Snow-cats do not come here to
smooth down the surface as they do in other trails but let the ruts and
mounds left by skiers build up to create a tought physical and technical
testing ground. After an initial section of an increasingly steeper
incline you arrive at a verticall wall, about 200 metre long, and past it to the
Valgranda T-bar lift, on the right. |

(Blue, 985 m long, 173 m drop)
This is a lendina Piste vriant starting at the same
point. After the first
500-600 m down the former trail, turn left (the Lendina continues right
towards Pecol) A few hundred metres down you arrive at the boarding
station of the Casot di pecol T-bar lift for Pian dl crep, and next to it a
charming rifugio and recovery centre. The Casot is an easy trail, wide throuhout
and nowhere steep or difficult.
