An uncontaminated nature just a few kilometers away from the main routes and the highway. Large areas where roebucks and deers live undisturbed, woods and pastures overlooked by elegant dolomitic massifs : Zoldo is a nice valley, partly still wild, a small uncontaminated corner in the heart of the
Dolomites. |

It is surrounded by the imposing mountains groups of Pelmo, Civetta, Moiazza, Mezzodì, Tamer, San Sebastiano, Bosconero. In summertime Valzodana is the ideal destination of excursionists of any skill level whom can test their ability in either engaging rail tracks, or enjoy relaxing promenades. The most appealing High Tracks of the Dolomites cross Zoldo, such as the "historical" Alta Via n°1 (Hing Track N°1) considered the most beautiful one, Alta Via N° 3 wilder and, as of today, still very little frequented. The Anello Zoldano (Zoldo's Ring) is a high track totally developed in the Zoldo area. A six laps itinerary which runs, at certain latitudes, across all the mountains that embrace the valley.
The southern section of Valzoldana is part of Belluno Dolomites National Park, certainly one of the most interesting and suggestive national parks which extends itself to the feet of Spiz di Mezzodì and reaches the built-up area of Forno di Zoldo, privileged door to enter this temple of nature.
